Granola’s awesome but a lot of times the stuff you buy in the grocery store is loaded with sugar and random shiz you don’t need in your bod.
Luckily, making it is super easy and even more delicious (specifically cause it’s nice and warm coming out of the oven. It tastes like the hot crumble on an apple pie- fo real). Below is a recipe for Pumpkin Walnut Granola, but feel free to swap in raisins, dried cherries, or different kinds of nuts. Your granola. Your call. #GoWildKids.
2 Cups of Organic Rolled Oats
1/2 cup of walnuts chopped
1/4 cup of pumpkin or sunflower seeds
1/4 cup of dried cranberries (optional–if you want less sugar, leave em out)
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
2-3 tablespoons of honey
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Mash everything up with your hands then lick the honey off your hands (unless psycho germaphobes are around). Spread the mixture flat on a cookie tray and stick in the oven for 12-15 minutes. Once the edges start getting golden, take it out. Viola!!! You can throw it on some yogurt for breakfast, pack it in a bag for a snack, or keep it in mason jars so people think you’re cool and crafty!
Anyone else have other granola recipes to try??
